There is both legal and physical road access to the property. County-maintained gravel roads bring you most of the way. It currently lies along an unmaintained dirt road called Calabasas Rd, which may need attention depending on your desired use. A 4x4 can traverse it as it stands. The property is only 330 feet away from a bladed, privately maintained road (Glimpse Dr), so it wouldn't take much to make it more accessible for RV's or two-wheel drive vehicles. This property is located near thousands of acres of BLM land and multiple designated wilderness areas for unlimited recreation.

There is a wash along the southern portion of the property that is considered a seasonal wetland, which brings more variety of plant and wildlife to the property. The southern portion of the property is in Flood Zone A with a 1% annual chance of flooding. It is possible to build in this Zone A area after establishing the base flood elevation level and obtaining a Floodplain Use Permit, or build near the northernmost section of the property on higher ground and take advantage of the seasonal rains.
